【プロフィール】

幼少期よりオペラやミュージカルに親しみ、シエラ・ボーゲスやラミン・カリムルーに憧れて歌の世界へ。

6歳より声楽家・緑川まり氏に師事。さめじまボンディングクリニック主催のコンサートへの出演をきっかけに、幼少期からプロの演奏家との共演を重ねる。

東京音楽大学付属高等学校 声楽専攻に特待生として進学。

16歳で「IBLA GRAND PRIZE（声楽部門）」に史上最年少で入賞。翌年、「東京国際音楽＆ダンスコンクール2025」Young Artist Vocal部門の決勝ラウンドに出場し、最上位の「Supreme Elite Prize」該当者なしの中、実質最高位となる「Elite Prize」を受賞。

2026年には、世界的に活躍する指揮者・ピアニスト、マルコ・ボエーミ氏のマスタークラスを受講。東銀座で開催された演奏会では、ボエーミ氏自身のピアノ伴奏で歌唱する貴重な機会を得る。

同年、新作オペラ『人間の歌』に子ども役で出演。当初カットされていた冒頭とラストの役が本人のために復活するなど、歌唱・演技ともに高い評価を得る。

2026年夏には「Tune of Passion 国際音楽＆ダンスコンクール」Vocal部門で最上位賞を受賞。さらに、第80回全日本学生音楽コンクール声楽部門・高校の部 東京大会予選を通過し、本選へ進出するなど、クラシック声楽の分野でも着実に実績を重ねている。

学内オペラでは、モーツァルト『魔笛』パミーナ役、『フィガロの結婚』伯爵夫人役などを演じ、オペラの舞台でも研鑽を積む。

一方、ポップスにも早くから関心を持ち、12歳でライブのサポートボーカルを務め、14歳で石月努氏（ex.FANATIC◇CRISIS）のアルバムにコーラス参加。「WATAKO LIVE Vol.4」では観客投票1位を獲得。

15歳で音楽プロデューサーKiyohito氏提供による初のオリジナル曲『Sing for』（English ver.）を配信リリース。「Tour Sing for 2024 Spring Summer Final」では満席のワンマンライブを成功させる。

地域との連携にも力を入れ、羽生市三田ヶ谷農林公園「キヤッセ羽生」のイメージソング『Beautiful Parade』（English ver.）をリリース。

2025年には、行田市市制75周年記念ファミリーミュージカルコンサート「Voice to Voice」にゲスト出演。

現在は、こうのすフラワーラジオ『SAKURAのクロスオーバーカフェ』（金曜20:30〜）のパーソナリティを務めるほか、音楽高校でクラシック声楽を学びながら、オペラ、ミュージカル、ポップス、クラシカル・クロスオーバーとジャンルを越えて活動している。

2026年秋には、東京文化会館で上演されるオペラ『アマールと夜の訪問者』に出演予定。

クラシックで培った確かな歌唱技術と、ミュージカル・ポップスで磨いた表現力を併せ持つ“クラシカル・クロスオーバーシンガー”として、活動の幅を広げている。

【Biography】

From an early age, SUWA SAKURA was immersed in opera and musical theatre, inspired by internationally acclaimed performers such as Sierra Boggess and Ramin Karimloo.

At the age of six, she began studying classical voice under soprano Mari Midorikawa. Her early appearances at concerts hosted by Samejima Bonding Clinic gave her opportunities to perform alongside professional musicians, an experience she has continued to build upon throughout her musical development.

She entered the High School of Tokyo College of Music as a scholarship student, majoring in classical voice.

At sixteen, she became the youngest-ever award recipient in the Vocal Division of the IBLA GRAND PRIZE. The following year, she advanced to the final round of the Tokyo International Music & Dance Competition 2025 in the Young Artist Vocal Division, receiving the Elite Prize—the highest prize awarded that year, as no Supreme Elite Prize was presented.

In 2026, Sakura participated in a masterclass with internationally renowned conductor and pianist Marco Boemi. She later had the exceptional opportunity to perform with Boemi himself accompanying her at the piano in a concert held in Higashi-Ginza, Tokyo.

That same year, she appeared as a child character in the new opera The Song of Humanity (Ningen no Uta). A role originally removed from the production, appearing at both the opening and finale, was specially reinstated for Sakura. Her vocal and dramatic performance received high praise.

In the summer of 2026, she received the top award in the Vocal Division of the Tune of Passion International Music & Dance Competition. She also passed the Tokyo preliminary round of the 80th Student Music Concours of Japan in the High School Vocal Division, advancing to the Tokyo Final and further establishing herself as a promising young classical vocalist.

Her operatic experience at school includes roles such as Pamina in Mozart’s The Magic Flute and the Countess in The Marriage of Figaro, through which she continues to develop her artistry as an opera singer.

Alongside her classical training, Sakura has had a strong interest in pop music from an early age. At twelve, she performed as a supporting vocalist in live concerts, and at fourteen, she participated as a backing vocalist on an album by Tsutomu Ishizuki (ex-FANATIC◇CRISIS). She later won first place in the audience vote at WATAKO LIVE Vol.4.

At fifteen, she released her first original single, Sing for (English ver.), written and produced by music producer Kiyohito. She subsequently performed a sold-out solo concert, Tour Sing for 2024 Spring Summer Final.

Sakura is also actively involved in community-based musical projects. She released Beautiful Parade (English ver.), the image song for Kisasse Hanyu, a park and cultural facility in Hanyu City, Saitama.

In 2025, she appeared as a guest artist in Voice to Voice, the Gyoda City 75th Anniversary Family Musical Concert.

She currently hosts SAKURA’s Crossover Café on Konosu Flower Radio every Friday at 8:30 p.m. While continuing her classical vocal studies at music high school, she performs across a wide range of genres, including opera, musical theatre, pop and classical crossover.

In the autumn of 2026, she is scheduled to appear in the opera Amahl and the Night Visitors at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan.

Combining a solid foundation in classical vocal technique with the expressive versatility of musical theatre and pop, SUWA SAKURA continues to expand her artistic world as a new-generation classical crossover singer.
